1996: Netscape Channel Tiles

First major client: Designed the Arts & Entertainment tile font for Netscape’s start page—clicked by millions to launch their late-night surfs into the early web.

1997: Skateboarder/Snowboarder Magazines & Global Exhibitions

Fonts powered headline covers for Skateboarder and Snowboarder. Poster for latest typeface juried into Seybold (NY), kicking off international shows.

1998: DC Comics Voodoo Relaunch, Timing Zero & Magazine Features

Chrome lettering for DC Comics’ Voodoo relaunch. Full-page spread in Timing Zero (Japanese design bible) next to Jonathan Barnbrook. Features in Mass HiTech and Publish Magazine‘s “New Faces.”

1998: International Exhibitions & Beauty Biz Logo

Exhibitions continued at ATypI (UK) and Royal Academy of Art (Netherlands). Designed Beauty Biz magazine masthead, logo, and custom spreads—plus Adolfo Shoes custom type.

2001: Guest Lectures at School of Visual Arts (NY)

Taught modern typography and type design at SVA—sharing your Emboss process with the next generation of designers.

2000s: Consulting for FutureBrand, Jack Morton & Major Clients

Consulted for global agencies on custom type: JPMorganChase (bespoke typeface), PBS, WNYC’s Treasures of New York logo, OshKosh, Bumble&bumble (L’Oréal), and Saatchi & Saatchi. Fonts used by Illumination Studios and endless orgs.
